Venue Details for Conference & Meeting Room Availability

The multi award-winning Science Museum celebrated its one hundredth anniversary as an independent organisation in June 2009. Since 1992, the museum’s numerous galleries have been available for corporate clients to hire, accommodating in excess of 200 events per year, including conferences, fashion shows, launches, awards ceremonies, concerts, dinners and exhibitions.

Eight core galleries are available for hire before 10.00 or after 18.00 daily, ranging from the traditional to the contemporary and interactive, covering a broad spectrum of subjects. Two contrasting daytime venues, IMAX cinema, vast blank-canvas space, motion theatre and a rolling programme of special exhibitions and specialist subject galleries of varying size are also available.

The Director’s Suite comprises four separate rooms available for daytime or evening hire. The suite is completely self-contained with its own separate entrance from the Museum, a cloakroom and guest registration area.
The Fellow’s Room is elegantly lined with books spanning a range of subjects from the Science Museum’s own archives and offers a conference room for up to 100 delegates theatre-style. With break-out alcoves in between the bookcases, ideal for workshops, display materials or product demo stations, it is also ideal for product launches or away-days. For smaller meetings, the light and airy Boardroom Suite can accommodate up to 60 theatre-style and can be hired on its own or in conjunction with the Fellow’s Room.
Catering is served in the adjacent ante-room and there is a small Secretariat office also available if required for additional breakout space.
A DDR of £68.50 + vat is available for conferences and meetings (based on minimum numbers of 50). For an additional set-up fee, an LCD projector is available and a screen, flipcharts, PA system, lectern and microphones can be provided upon request at no extra charge.
